Travel Accommodation: Choosing a Hotel or Motel
There is accommodation in Toronto to suit any budget. You can stay at the local Hostel for only dollars a day, or you can stay in hotel suites that are good enough for visiting prime ministers. Pricing is somewhat seasonal. The summer travel season is offset by the year-round business needs of area head office, as well as by out-of-town travellers staying in airport-area hotels just before or after international trips. Each hotel's dates for high, low, and shoulder seasons differ a bit so watch your timing or your hotel. Our pricing guidelines (exclusive of taxes) are as follows:
Location
The desired location of the hotel depends on the purpose of your visit.
We have grouped the hotels by "Area" to assist you with selecting appropriate accommodation. The Area is in most cases, the city in which a hotel is located. Inside the cities of Toronto and Brampton, we also list the part of town.
If you are in Toronto on business, you should ensure you are staying in the RIGHT part of Toronto, to be closest to your meetings. You can easily find hotels in the Financial District, The Junction, St Clair, along the Yonge St Strip, Davisville (Midtown), Leaside (Don Valley), and East York For hotels right around Pearson Airport, use our Mississsauga Hotels search. If you are travelling along the major highways, For hotels right along the 401 and the Don Valley Parkway use our NorthYork Hotels search and along the QEW, try the High Park, Lakeshore and Harbourfont areas. If you are visiting the area's many attractions, then you'll want to choose accommodation that is fairly close to your favoured attractions. You can search for hotels in or close to the Financial District, High Park, the Yorkville area, the Harbourfront, The Beaches, by Eaton Centre, the Theatre District, and The Danforth. If you are trying to find something VERY NEAR your meeting, use the "Postal" feature in the Hotel Search screen, where we match the first the digits/characters of the postal code! This also works on our Restaurant search, to find a restaurant near your hotel (and in every other search form on our site).
