This new, 2000-seat playhouse built by the Mirvishes, who also own & operate Toronto's historic Royal Alexandra Theatre. The Princess of Wales--the first privately owned and financed theatre built in Canada since 1907-is horseshoe-shaped, with seating on three levels - orchestra, dress circle and balcony. All seats is more than 85 feet from the stage, and all levels are served by elevator and are wheelchair accessible.

The theatre is equipped with an infrared listening system for the hearing-impaired; headsets are available free-of-charge at the coat-check counter (with a refundable deposit). For wheelchair or any other special seating needs, please call ahead.

The colourful murals that decorate the interior walls, the proscenium arch, the fly tower and the spectacular ceiling dome )covering over10,000 square feet) are the work of renowned contemporary artist Frank Stella.

There is also a private Mirvish Suite on the basement level of the theatre, available for special occasions.
